I wish every woman knew that they didn’t have to wait until they’re 65 to retire. I wish every woman knew that we can get out of the rat race without marry a sugar daddy to do it. I wish every woman knew that this finance shit isn’t as scary as it seems. I wish every woman knew that reaching F.I.R.E is possible and that they’re not the only woman doing it.

Let’s first talk about F.I.R.E.

The F.I.R.E movement stands for financial independence retire early. It’s this niche financial movement commonly found in reddit forums and other male focused finance blogs. It promotes extreme frugality and heavily investing in the stock market. Two things I do love (when it’s taken down a notch). It’s all well and good but it wasn’t exactly created for women in mind. This financial strategy has been sucessfully followed and achieved by so many men, but women are pushed out or entirely kept out of the conversation.

Many of the thought leaders on this part of the internet are men. They’ll share budgets that don’t take into consideration the women unique needs of women. They see makeup as frivoulous and think riding bikes to work to save money on gas is a safe option. News flash, it’s not. If I, a woman, rode my bike to work every morning I’d quickly retire to an early grave. Not the kind of early retirement I’m looking for.

The movement needs a woman’s touch. We’re making this house a home, baby! There is a way to be frugal without giving up all your makeup and risking your life to save money on gas. There is a way to retire as a millionaire in your 30s without marrying an old guy and hoping he croaks.

I’ll walk you through the tips and tricks needed to hit financial indpendence as a woman and show you that it’s not as hard as it seems. There’s not a true female voice in the F.I.R.E movement and that changes now.
